Theodore A. Jones, Jr.

Theodore A. “Ted” Jones, Jr., age 61, of Pineville, LA, passed away on August 13, 2025. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 2308 Houston Street, Alexandria, LA, with Pastor Stanley R. Mathis and Rev. Michael Bell officiating.

A devoted husband, father, brother, veteran, and deacon, Ted was known for his quiet strength, quick wit, and kindness. He worked as a Dispatcher for Estes Express until his health declined. His faith was central to his life, and as a deacon of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, he and his wife Lawanda helped revive Vacation Bible School. A gifted writer, Ted’s words brought encouragement and hope to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa M. Jones and Theodore A. Jones, Sr. He is survived by his wife Lawanda Jones; daughter Odie M. Trusty; son Xanthius X. Robinson (Terri); sister Tracey A. Dreighton (Gary); grandson Xanthius X. Robinson, Jr.; niece Amber Dreighton; nephew Gary Dreighton II; godson Caleb McDonald; great-niece Grace Dreighton; and a host of family and friends.
