Services for Theodore Fountaine, Jr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 2200 Third Street, Alexandria, LA. Pastor Randy Harris will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Fountaine, 77, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on December 5, 2021, at Rapides Regional Medical Center under the care of St. Joe’s Hospice. Mr. Fountaine was a graduate of Peabody High school Class of 162. He matriculated to Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he received his B.S. & master’s degree.
He was a lifelong member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, past Trustee Board President, as well as a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Theodore is a 30+ year Educator & Administrator in Avoyelles & Rapides Parish as well as Anne Arundel County, Maryland. As a Veteran, he was the first Lieutenant in Rapides Parish & Captain in the National Guard. His hobbies were: reading, attending Peabody basketball games, and participating in political activities. Theodore was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Theodore is preceded in death by his parents: Theodore, Sr., and Willie Lee Gardner Fountaine, wife: Theresa Ann George Fountaine, daughter: Terri Anissa Fountaine, sister: Theo Lee Isadore and brother: Alvin J. Fountaine.
Theodore leaves to cherish his memories – son: Theodore Fountaine, III (Ted) and sister: Yvonne Fountaine Sias. If he left any unfinished business, it was mentoring the youth. However, he should be remembered for his honesty & the principles he lived by.
