Travis Taft Campbell



Travis Taft Campbell was born on December 31, 1973 to the late Taft and Frances Campbell in Pineville, LA. He always considered himself the “Keeper” of the family.


Travis was educated in the Rapides Parish Public School System and was an active member of the Bolton High School Band.


Travis was a jack of all trades and held several skilled certifications. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he recently became the proud proprietor of “Campbell’s Cleaning Service”.


Travis was very charismatic and had a smile that could light up any room.

Travis departed this life on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Alexandria, LA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandmother: Mattie Campbell Means and maternal grandmother: Bessie King Batiste.


Travis leaves to cherish his memories – wife: Kathryn Campbell, children: Travion Johnson, Sr., Kentravious Coleman, Morissa Adams, stepchildren: Ethelius Vinson, Jr., Eneshia Vinson, Keanu Vinson, one grandson: Travion Johnson, Jr., siblings: Stephan Foster, Sr., Tracey Campbell, Michael Campbell, Elizabeth Campbell Allen (Joseph), and Essence Campbell.

Travis held special relationships with many, but he and his “Aunt Pat” had a bond unmatched. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be sadly missed by everyone.


Viewing will be held from 5:00p.m. – 6:30p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 2200 Third Street, Alexandria, LA. A private service for family only will be held at 7:00p.m.
