Services for Willie Young, Jr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Grace Christian Center, 1006 7th St., Glenmora, LA. Pastor Dexter Winters will be officiating. Interment will be in Glenmora Community Center.
Mr. Young, 60, of Glenmora, LA, passed away on September 25, 2019 at Oakdale Community Hospital. Mr. Willie was a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and, nephew. He worked construction for over 30 years and was well known as a carpenter. He is preceded in death by his parents: Willie Young, Sr. and Shirley C. Young and Lillie Mae W. Young, wife: Gwendolyn Young, daughter: Tawanna Young, grand-daughter: Destiny Shaw, brothers: Dexter Young, Otis Young, Alvin Jackson, and Larry Young.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories – daughters: LaTonya Young and Courtney Young, sons: Damean Booth and Quanton Shaw, brothers: John Edward Green, Craig Barnett, and Ernest Hegwood, sisters: Loretta Earl, Marilyn Selders, Shawn Young, Tysonia Vette Alexander, Sheila Young, Angelia Young, and Ruby Young, grandchildren: Isaiah Young, Jayla Nelson, Treshun Young, Kingston Girtley, Jordan Young, and Na’Riah Hall.
Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. at Grace Christian Center.
