Mr. Battle, 73, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on February 16, 2026, at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents: Pleas Battle, Sr. and Marie Scott Battle, siblings: Please Battle, Jr., Lila Battle Pope, and Delores Battle Brown, son: Burnell Battle, Jr., and grandson: Eric Glenn.

Burnell leaves to cherish his memories – wife: Jessie Battle, children: Eddie Ray Byrd (Minervia), Jackie Byrd, Myron Moore, Felicia Moore, Monique Moore, Veronica Battle, La’Tonia Dixon, Mable Fisher Anderson, Ikeisha Jones (Eric), Candice Dixon, and Carol Lee-Brown (Jesse) and Bryan Washington, brother: Victor Battle (Maria), sisters: Debra Battle Davis, Gwendolyn Battle Williams, and Emily Battle.


Viewing will begin at 10:00a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church.
