Diann M. Morris-Johnson

Diann Marie Morris-Johnson affectionately known as Lady Di was born to Ezekiel Morris and Cora Johnson-Morris at Huey P. Long Memorial Hospital in Pineville Louisiana on March 16, 1949 and she departed her earthly vessel on March 15, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Johnny Ray Johnson Sr., her mother and father. She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Latonia Renee Johnson-Spikes, Lashawn Monique Johnson-Davion, Johnny Ray Johnson, Jr., in addition to her grandchildren Kasandra Johnson (Miles), Ashley Johnson, Torian Johnson, Therica Johnson (Richard), Tarron Davion, Tamia Davion, Ja’laia Gaines, as well as her great-grandchildren A’Shari Johnson, Diollo Miles Jr., Car’tavies Bennett, D’syria Johnson, Tayden Williams, Tamorian Gaines, Jay’Shun Jones, Journi Richard and Jay’cion Hampton. Lady Di was the oldest of eight children and is the first of the line to break the chain. Her surviving siblings in order of birth are: #2 Carolyn Sue Thompson (Reginald Thompson, Sr.): Reginald Thompson, Jr. (Trenda), Darius Thompson (Yamena) #3 Precious J. Morris: Kevin Williams (deceased), Kecia Williams-Lawal (Hakeem) #4 Deborah Gail Adams: Regina Adams, Robert Adams III #5 Frieda M. Morris: Shawndrica N. Morris-Simmons, Esq. (Cornelius), Dr. Sherterica L. Hall #6 Connie M. McCullar (LC McCullar): Patricia Hayes, Kendrick Morris, Kristopher Tolbert, Kymesha McCullar-Sandidge (Chasity) #7 Melvin James Morris #8 Evelyn D. Morris: Meko Kirts-Taylor (Andrew), Marcus Kirts, Mechelle Kirts-Roberthon (Kevin) Lady Di’s Homegoing Celebration is Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1pm at First St. Mark Baptist Church.
