Obituary of Jacqulen “Jackie” Miles 4:14 King James Version (KJV) Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. November 20th, 2019 at 2:00pm, Jacqulen (Jackie) Miles life chapter came to an end. Jackie was born October 24th, 1950 to the proud parents of Willie and Hattie Blackman Miles of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Both preceded him in death. He had one sister Ms. Annie Mae Johnson who preceded him in death and one brother who lives in Dallas, TX. In Jackie’s life journey he lived to graduate from Central High School in the year of 1968. During the following years he attended Central Trade School. There he learned the trade of welding and auto mechanics. Other life accomplishments include saw mill worker, gas attendant, and working for United Gas Pipeline. Where he worked until the company exchanged owners. While working full time Jackie taught himself how to paint cars. He took flying lessons and obtained his license to pilot private airplanes and helicopters. After retiring from the pipeline company in the year of 1993, He was hired to work at the Parish Sheriff’s Office. There he remained until his services were no longer needed. All along his life’s journey he made many friends and acquaintances. On August 14th, 1999 he became a member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church in Melrose, LA where he remained a member until death. He leaves to cherish his wife of 49 years Hattie Marie Miles of Natchitoches, LA. To that union four children were born: Cheryl D. Miles of Alexandria, LA; Dewayne L. Miles (Kyina) of Severn, MD; Michael E. Miles (Keisha) of Hampton, VA; and Kimberly R. Miles (Ladarien White - fiancé) Natchitoches, LA. Eleven grandchildren: Santana K. Perry (Ray Lee Perry Sr.), Ayanna S. Reliford (Zachary – fiancé), and Gabrielle S. Reliford all of Alexandria, LA. Nahari Stewart of Stone Mountain, GA; Makayla A. Miles and Byneiqua N. Stewart of Seven, MD; Ahnaiyah N. Miles of Williamsburg, VA; Kevin T. Sariale, Rashaun J. Bayonne, Samara A. Bayonne, Marquis A. Miles all of Natchitoches, LA. He was blessed with four great grandchildren: Parris G. Miles, Ray Lee Perry Jr., Chi’Anna K. Perry and Ray’Shad L. Perry all of Alexandria, LA. One half-brother Francis Pier (Marcell) Dallas, TX. A loving Sister-in-law Tessie C. Brown, one loved and respected brother-in-law Kent R. Foster (Tammy). Others to cherish his memories are a host of relative, nephews, nieces, and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
