Services for James E. Marves will be at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Mount Triumph Baptist Church, 2200 Third Street, Alexandria, LA. Pastor Randy Harris will be officiating.

Interment will be in MTBC Cemetery.

Mr. Marves, 82, of Lecompte, LA, passed away on June 27, 2026, at Onyx Healthcare of Jena. He is preceded in death by his parents: Rosa M. Bruton & Robert Jett.

James leaves to cherish his memories – daughters: Pamela Y. Marves Gaines (Gerald), Karen A. Marves, Kathy E. Marves Cannon, and Micaela Whitelow, sisters: Shirley Thompson, LaDawnder Gentry, Dimitri Bruton, Cheryl Bruton, Pamela Bruton, and Donelda Bruton, along with 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. at Mount Triumph Baptist Church.
