Services for James Harper, Jr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Antioch COGIC, 243 Noa Street, Pineville, LA. Admin Assistant William C. Anderson, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mr. Harper, 89, of Pineville, LA, passed away on October 20, 2026, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents: James, Sr. & Rosa Lee Harper, brother: Charles Harper, David Harper, and Donald Harper, and sister: Artumeas Harper.

James leaves to cherish his memories – wife: Alice Harper, daughter: Gwendolyn Hughes, sons: Kenneth W. Harper and Reginald J. Harper, sisters: Beverly Jane Richardson and Linda D. Anderson, along with 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
