Services for Joseph F. Shelmire, Jr. will be at 2:30p.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at New Scott Olly Baptist Church. Bishop Lynell Smith will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Shelmire, 45, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on July 10, 2021, at his residence. He is preceded in death by his maternal & paternal grandparents, father (Joseph, Sr.), sister (Kathryn Larissa Trowel Landor).
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories – mother: Katherine Shelmire, brothers: Richard Trowel and Joseph “Terry” Shavers (Ada), sisters: Karen Shelmire, Rhonda Smith (Stacy), Ellen Mack, Jennifer Shelmire, special cousin: David (Christina), very special aunt: Betty Rivers, nieces whom he adored: Kayden & Marissa, special friends: Michael Lynn & Jason, other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
