Kate Redmond Shepherd will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Old Morning Star Baptist Church. Rev. Louis Swafford will be officiating. Interment will be in Farenzie Cemetery.
Mrs. Shepherd, 84, of Colfax, LA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband: George Shepherd, Jr., son: Frederick Shepherd, father, mother, two sisters, and three brothers.
Kate leaves to cherish her memories – daughters: Loretha Swafford and Gwendolyn Cage, sons: Ronald Redmond, Gregory Shepherd, Jordan Shepherd, brothers: Henry Redmond, Truman Redmond, and Arnold Redmond, sister: Betty Benjamin, along with 18 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
To Gwen, Neit, and the rest of the family, my condolences to each of you. When I talked to you Gwen, my heart was full. Kate will be truly missed. My prayer is, may God lift y'all up and give you all the strength you need. Love you all. Aunt Letha Shepherd, Dallas Texas
