LaWanda D. Robinson

Services for LaWanda D. Robinson will be at 10:00a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 5606 Old Boyce Road, Boyce, LA. Pastor Bobby Gordon will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mrs. Robinson, 49, of Alexandria, LA, passed away on July 4, 2026, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. LaWanda graduated from NSU in 2012 and has been in the educational system for over 14 years. She taught at Alma Redwine Elementary and was Youth Director at Providence Family Ministry.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Marilyn Goods-Curry and father: James Curry.

Her hobbies included crafting and decorating for school and for church events. LaWanda loved using her cricut, named “Sister” (after her late mother) to make shirts and other crafts for her loved ones, friends, co-workers, church members, and students. She also loved family time such as family game night (sometimes she would make games) and family movie night. She loved to travel, especially with her husband. Their favorite places to travel were Las Vegas and Biloxi. She loved shopping and would find a good deal wherever she went.

LaWanda leaves to cherish her memories – husband: James Lee Robinson, Jr., daughters: Brittany Curry and Victoria Robinson, sons: James L. Robinson, III and Jarvis Robinson, sister: Vickie Goods.

Most importantly, LaWanda loved God and she showed it in her character, grace, and love to everyone she met.
