Letangia Rolanda Rolle, aks Tangi, 44 years old, of Alexandria, LA, answered God's call to eternal glory on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Tangi was born March 1, 1974, in Boynton Beach, Florida, to Norman and Eunice Machen Rolle.

The family moved to Southern California when Tangi was 3 years old. Being a precocious child, she always wanted to be involved in activities. During her early years, Tangi did ballet, gymnastics, and played piano. In high school, she ran track and played volleyball and basketball.

She was a member of the National Honor Society, World Youth Organization, Girl Scouts and Jack and Jill. Always a lover of books, Tangi was an avid-reader and a prolific-writer.

Tangi attended the University of California at San Diego, where she became a member of Tri-Delta Sorority. She earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature. A teacher of Latin, French, and English, Tangi began her teaching career in the Upward Bound Program at Southern University, Baton Rouge, teaching Latin.

Tangi's concern for others led her to volunteer for the American Cancer Society and serve as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate. She was also a member of OES.

Tangi was a devout-Christian, who was steadfastly anchored in the Lord. She was a wonderful daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She loved people and dogs, especially her dog, Sassy.

Tangi was preceded in death by her father Norman Rolle. She is survived by her mother Eunice Machen Rolle, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
