Services for Carter William Rhodes, Sr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at First Union Baptist Church, 601 Lee Street, Alexandria, LA.

Mr. Rhodes, 80, of Boyce, LA, passed away on April 17, 2022, in Alexandria, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents - William Rhodes, Jr and Mamie Rhodes, and Emma Lee Rhodes. Carter was a 1961 graduate of Peabody High School and he attended Grambling State University. Carter enlisted in the Navy and received two medals – National Defense Service and Vietnam Service. He was employed with International Paper for 38 years.

Carter leaves to cherish his memories – daughters: Linda R. Rhodes and Vanessa Godwin, sons: Carter W. Rhodes, Jr and Jules M. Rhodes, brothers: Raymond Rhodes (Mary Faye), Lionel Rhodes and Douglas Rhodes, visters: Hilda Vampran (Alfred), Doristine Sanders (Leon, Sr.), Gloria Kirkindoll, Narvina McCoy (Lewis), Pamela Hall (Cowin), and Emelda Rhodes, along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
