James W. (J.W.) Anthony, Sr.

Services for James W. Anthony, Sr. will be at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Restoration Apostolic Ministries, 175 Fairgrounds Road, Natchitoches, LA.

Rev. Henry Calhoun will be officiating. Interment will be in New Nazarene Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Anthony, 87, of Bermuda, LA, passed away on November 23, 2020 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. Mr. Anthony was a retired bus driver with 41 years of service and a car salesman for many years.

He was a deacon at the New Nazarene Baptist Church in Bermuda, LA. He also served as a former President of the Natchitoches Federation of Teachers and School Employees. He is preceded in death by his parents: Dorsey (Sr.) and Louise Johnson Anthony, and wife: Lillie B. Brooks Anthony, brothers: Dorsey Anthony, Jr., Arthur Lee Anthony, Sr., Freddie “Pete” Anthony, Sr., and Charles Anthony, sister: Eunice Anthony Morrow.

J.W. leaves to cherish his memories – daughters: Brenda Anderson, Carletta Jones, and Coretta Conant, son: James W. Anthony, Jr., sister: Dorothy Moses, grandchildren: Bianca Jones and April Conant.

Walk-through visitation will be from 9-11:00a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Restoration Apostolic Ministries.

Mr. Anthony’s service will be governed by COVID restrictions: Masks and Social Distancing will be required.
