Services for Linkey B. King will be at 1:00PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at New Christian Life Fellowship Baptist Church, 825 Stracener St., Alexandria, LA. Rev. Carl Armstead will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. King, 76, of Alexandria Louisiana, passed away on June 5, 2019 at her residence.
She was born to Abe Williams and Virginia Gibbs Williams. She was baptized at an early age. She was a godly woman her whole life. She went to church until she couldn’t go anymore. The last church she joined was New Christian Life Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Veal.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gus King Sr., and her first husband James Guiden, Sr., her father Abe Williams Sr., mother Virginia Gibbs Williams, maternal and paternal grandparents, her brother Abe Williams Jr., her daughter Betty M. Guiden, grand child Laquetta Q. Williams, brother in law Arthur Bradford, great niece Elisa Johnson and nephew Leonard, and Kashunta Turner.
Linkey leaves to cherish her memories her children: Rose M. Williams, Alice K. McNeal, James Guiden, Jr., and Gus King, Jr., brother: Lawrence Williams, Sr., sisters: Gloria J. Bradford, Deloris Early (Phillip), Eddie M. Johnson, Virginia Williams, Georgia Williams, son in law: Ethel Williams, grandchildren: Demond Williams, Zeont’el Melbert, Shonquitta Williams, Quadra Jackson, Ronnie Melbert, Jr., Kianna A. R. Melbert, Gustavious Melbert, great grandchildren: Shamiya Melbert, Zeont’el Melbert, Jr., Serenity Melbert, Adriana Jackson, Andreanna Jackson, Arryanna Jackson, aunts: Susie Norris and Alice Green.
Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. at the church.
