Services for Robert Earl Miles will be at 12:00pm on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Robinson Family Mortuary, 1815 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA. Rev. Moses Roland will be officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.
Robert Earl Miles was born on December 14, 1943 in Shubuta, Mississippi to the late Henry “Pop” and Ethel Lolita Miller Miles.
Robert, affectionately known as Sonny was united in marriage to Leatha Mae Williams in July 1964. To this union, six children were born: Victor, Robert, Angela, Andrea, Adrine and Alisha.
Sonny was employed with J.M. Poultry in Alexandria, LA for nearly two decades. Then, he was a committed and dedicated employee of Dis-Tran Steel Fabrication, LLC in Pineville, LA for over 30 years of service. He retired as the Maintenance Supervisor in 2011.
Sonny was proceeded in death by his parents: Henry and Ethel Miles; his loving wife: Leatha Williams Miles, four brothers: Charlie Ray Hardy, Charles Henry Miles, Ernest Miles and Joe M. Miles; four sisters: Magdeleine Robicheaux Banks, Rosie Ferrell, Dorothy Nash and Mary Coleman.
Sonny’s memories will always be cherished by his sons: Victor Myron Miles, Robert Wellington Miles (Brenda) both of Alexandria, LA; four daughters: Angela Miles Johnson (Cleveland Ray), Andrea Shae Miles both of Baton Rouge, LA, Adrine Noel Miles (Darrin Pittman) of Natchitoches, LA and Alisha Miles Sherman (Tedrius) of Alexandria, LA; eleven grandchildren; one great-grand child; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
